Naming Stories

They are just robots and equipment, but we think that they are also our members. Of course, they have their names out of their model names by manufacturers.

  • The kobuki, rabbit, and Yongwang were inspired from the Korean folk tale, Hare’s Liver (토끼전 or 별주부전 in Korean).
    • Dr. Daniel’s Kobuki came from its father (developer), Dr. Daniel Stonier. He had raised a turtle (kobuki in Korean) when he had lived in Daejeon.
    • Hwang rabbit came from its father (developer), Hyunkil Hwang, a former undergraduate student.
  • The Land snail was named by Hyun Gyu Shin, a winner of its naming contest.
